Sinamay and Sinugot (Abaka Fibers)

Both are made of Abaka (Musa textilis) supplied and manufactured by the locals from Brgys. Baya and Salvacion. Abaca fiber is three times stronger than cotton or silk, and a fabric made from 100% abaca can last for over 100 years.
Sinamay can be found in many different weaves and textures such as wrapper for gifts and bouquets for all occasions, hats, slippers, bags and basket that will definitely love by tourist.
Today, these abaka by-products are traded in the local market and exported in China and Paris, France.
